14 Oct - Going into this race as points leader having won 3 out of 4 LifeTime Fitness Series races, Emma knew she couldn't win the Super Grand Slam Bonus Toyota Cup prize, but with $120,000 still on the line did all she could despite being ill since recently racing in China. Finishing 4th behind Sarah Haskins (US) Julie Dibens(UK) & Mirinda Carfrae(AU) in downtown Dallas she still claimed the series bonus, saying; "It's been a very long season. I've been feeling pretty beat up & knew I'd be off-form coming into this race. |

16 Sep - On the Beijing Olympics Triathlon circuit, Emma claimed a Silver Medal behind Vanessa Fernandes (POR) & Bronze went to Laura Bennett (USA) in a podium replica of Hamburgs World Championships two weeks earlier. Exiting the swim in 6th, Snowsill helped pull a lead bike pack to a 43sec gap, however many riders just focused on beating their own countrymen which allowed the chasers to merge into a 30 rider peleton by 30k's. Snowsill emerged late from T2 & ran herself into 2nd but too far back to catch Fernades. |

9 Sep - Through Venice Beach surf, under blue sky & mild morning temps, Emma lead the Pro women over the hilly LA bike / run course to win by almost 3 mins. Showing little effect from races in Hamburg, Chicago, New York & Minnesota within the past 8 weeks, this win increases her rank in the US Grand Slam Series, Texas in Oct, however she must race a World Cup test event on the Olympic circuit in Beijing, beforehand, where the air will be a huge test of her asthma condition. |

2 Sep - It wasn't an historic 4th World Title, but after being left "seeing stars" from a punch to the head during the swim, Snowsill rated her silver medal as one of her hardest fought yet greatest achievements. A fist in the goggles - a mauling that pulled her wetsuit down – a snared ankle timing bracelet delaying her in T1, meant Emma lost contact with the lead bike pack which she tried in vain to overcome riding the 40K's. Trailing 60+ secs at T2, Snowsill ran a record 10K, rising from 37th to 2nd place behind Vanessa Fernandes (POR) with Laura Bennett (USA) in 3rd. |

26 Aug - The finish line was a few yards away but Emma couldn't resist pausing to shake hands & accept congratulations. Even with this stop she still completed the Chicago Triathlon under 2 hours for one of the quickest finishes by a woman in the event's 25-year history. Five swimmers left Lake Michigan led by Snowsill, Wassner & Lavelle (USA), Dibbens & Swail (GBR). Although Emma was the 1st biker onto Lake Shore Drive, she was overtaken on the 40k freeway as Dibbens led into T2; but Snowsill out-ran her, taking the lead at the 3mile mark a finish in 1hr 59m 45s. Lavelle 2nd. |

22 Jul - In a classic contest of runner Vs cyclist, defending New York Champion, Emma Snowsill emerged from the always-quick downstream Hudson River swim in just 13:59, with Rebecca Wassner (USA) & Julie Dibbens (GBR) hot on her heels. On the 40K bike race thru Manhattan & the Bronx, super-cyclist Dibbens pulled away from all chasers & was well ahead on entering T2. However out of the run Dibbens was unable to take a casual victory loop around Central Park, because Snowsill, produced a 32:53 x 10k run, besting all but the top 4 men, to win in 2hrs:23secs. |

14 Jul - In a move to spread prize money over the new LTF Series, the controversial gender handicap was abandoned after 5 years. The 1st female swimmers out were Hill (AUS), Fernandes (POR), Bennett (USA) & Snowsill. After the 40K non-drafting bike, five riders came into T2 within 20secs of each other. Two time defending LTF Champion Snowsill, suffering a breathing ailment was outpaced on the run by Fernandes; costing Emma the win & her claim to the past seasons bonus prize purse. Life Time & co-sponsor Accenture will now devote their efforts to new series finale in Dallas. |

30 Jun - After crawling off the World Cup course in Iowa two weeks earlier for a very rare & gasping DNF, the diminutive Australian Champion fought hard for a comeback in Utah today, working with fellow Aussie Pip Taylor to exit the Lake swim together with a good lead over Canadian Lauren Groves. Wasting no time in cycling away from the field, Emma posted a 1:03:20 non drafting bike split,; 3mins ahead of chasing Taylor. Once off at Soldiers Hollow, she posted the days best run, finishing 8mins ahead of Groves & Taylor. Emma finished 10th fastest overall, besting many pro males. |

17 Jun - Billed the richest purse in triathlon history with Beijing qualifying for some countries, the World Cup in Iowa attracted the worlds best, all eager to lift rankings & get a share of $700K + 2 Hummers. Snowsill, touted as pre-race favourite in Media, raised eyebrows with an uncharacteristic sluggish swim, missing the lead bike pack. Visibly labouring for breath on the hot, hilly course & battling fierce winds, she vainly fought to close the gap. Struggling on the run, with a tight chest she slipped to 17th place then became 1 of 16 competitors to DNF. |

15 Apr - Despite battling an illness, Emma Snowsill produced a strong run finish to salvage 2nd place in Ishigaki today. Exiting the swim in 18th place, a huge 57 seconds behind the leader created a big challenge on the 40k bike leg, however the World Champion still helped reel in the leading bike pack in just over two laps. Quickly carving her way through the run field to join Fernandes (POR) & Tanner (NZL) in the lead nothing separated this trio until the close. Finishing 2nd, Emma remains on top of the ITU World Cup series points table. |

25 Mar - On a day when a quarter of the women's field was treated for heat fatigue or dehydration as the temp passed 30C, Emma Snowsill ended Portugal's Vanessa Fernandes' bid for a 13th consecutive World Cup title. Snowsill beat Fernandes and Densham home in 1hr 59min 20sec. "I just didn't know what to expect today because it was my first race of the year," Snowsill said. "But I didn't want to leave anything out there, so I gave it everything. When you know everyone is hurting as much as you, it can make you dig a little deeper. |
