2004 Alberta Half Ironman, CAN. Emma wins Canadian half Ironman
Snowsill exited the Lake swim in 24:39, to take a position she maintained for almost half of the bike ride. This frustrated the chasing men's field for most of the race, with only six men able to overtake her in the latter stages. Showing her short course speed on the bike by averaging 36.6 KPH on what’s considered a very tough course. She backed that up with a 1:34 run which carried her to the finish line in 4:27:49. Snowsill was in a different time zone, with the next woman over the line 20mins later.
