2009 Race Schedule

May 2009 saw the highly successful launch of the new ‘World Championship Series’ which features 7 world-class international races plus an exciting Grand Final World Championship event, all of which allow the world’s best triathletes to compete head-to-head on an ongoing basis throughout the season – rather than the previous single-day World Championship event. Comprising races in iconic cities including London’s famous “Hyde Park” - site of the 2012 Olympic Games Triathlon, it will culminate in the 2009 World Championship Grand Final on Australia’s famous Gold Coast - Emmas home town - where athletes will vie for a share of the $US500K prize purse.
